What this is

This is a demo build of a simple workflow: a resident submits an issue with a photo and a clear location, and it becomes a trackable job. The goal is boring in a good way: fewer back-and-forth emails, fewer repeat reports, and fewer “we can’t route this” dead ends.

For cities

Cleaner intake and fewer duplicates so crews can route and schedule faster.

For residents

A place to submit issues and see what happened without sending the same request again.

For contractors

Better work orders: clearer locations, photos, and context before dispatch.

What the demo focuses on

  • Location quality: street number, cross street, or landmark. If it’s vague, it should ask for more.
  • Low-detail reports: if a report is too thin to route, it should prompt for the missing details instead of guessing.
  • Repeat reports: basic duplicate detection so the same issue doesn’t create five separate tickets.
  • Tracking: once it’s a job, it’s visible and can move through statuses to closure.

A quick note on data

This is a demo environment. Don’t submit anything sensitive. Photos and text are meant to describe public infrastructure issues like potholes, sidewalk hazards, signs, streetlights, drainage, etc.
